What does your proofreading service provide?
I offer a final inspection of your document by checking and correcting the following:
- grammar
- punctuation
- typos
- word usage
- format and font inconsistencies
- continuity of style
When should I hire a proofreader?
Proofreading is the final step in the writing process. It comes after editing as the last check for errors before publication.
A proofreader does not rewrite content or help with plot and character development.
What resources do you use?
I use The Chicago Manual of Style 18th edition for most projects. But if you prefer another style guide or have a specific style sheet, I’m happy to accommodate.
Merriam-Webster.com is my go-to dictionary.
As for word processing software, I’m efficient with both Microsoft Word and Google Docs, or Adobe Acrobat for PDF files.
What are your rates?
My average rates run from US$0.011 to $0.013. Pricing varies based on complexity, length, and required turnaround time.
What payment types are available?
All invoices and payments are via PayPal.
Contact me about your specific needs, and I’ll tailor a quote for you. I also offer free samples of my work to make sure we are a mutually good fit.
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in Christian and family-friendly fiction but also accept Christian nonfiction. I do not accept projects containing profanity, gratuitous violence or sex.
Impact readers one story–one word–at a time.
